This year's Allen County Historical Society Graveline Tour took place October 3rd, 2026. Unfortunately, the Oct. 2nd, 2026 tour was canceled due to weather concerns.
Tours began at the Allen County Public Library, where participants heard from Allen County native Dr. Jennifer Emberton, who shared stories of Patriots and Pioneers of Allen County, Kentucky (that you will not meet in the Old City Cemetery).
Tour guides next led groups through the Old City Cemetery, stopping along the way to hear from historical characters whose lives were connected to Allen County's early history. In honor of America250, this year's portrayals included individuals who served as soldiers during the Revolutionary War, family members of soldiers, and descendants of Patriots. All of the characters were portrayed by their own descendants (including one special honorary descendant), bringing a special and personal connection to the tour this year.
